Richard Chenoweth
Richard Chenoweth is Professor of Horn at the University of Dayton and Principal Horn of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. He plays with the Carillon Brass, and for 35 years, has performed as second horn with the Santa Fe Opera. A Yamaha Performing Artist, he has taught, performed and recorded as soloist in this country and internationally, and as a guest with the Florida Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. A former member of the Little Orchestra Society of New York and the Royal Ballet of London, recent international performances include the Czech Radio Orchestra, the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sichuan Conservatory, PRC. The first hornist to receive the DMA in Horn Performance from CCM, he has presented recitals and master classes at schools of music including Eastman, Indiana University, University of Michigan, CCM, Northwestern University, University of Wisconsin, and the Hong Kong Cultural Academy.
